Hi,

I'm using Accpac 5.3 and I'm looking for a way to get a sales forcast out of Accpac.
Currently we do this in an Excel Spreadsheet which is a bit of a pain. However we enter our orders in there and also the time and amount when we think we will invoice the customer.
As far as I know there is no module from Accpac that has an sales forcast so I was wondering if there are any other modules available which would give me this feature.
I know I would still have to enter my future invoices but maybe there is a module around which can interact with AR and warns me for example when I have to invoice a client or tells me what I have actually invoiced in AR and compares it with what I've predict in invoices to come from the other module.

Thanks for any suggestion!

The only Add-On I can think of is Orchid Budget and Info Management.

Sounds like you could get quite a way towards your objective by using optional fields, where you can set up budget(s) and then compare these to actual stats info from the customer master files or stats files. You could probably extract the report you want by using ACCPAC Query also.

I don't think it will be a difficult job to develop a solution using optional fields with a more elegant inquiry feature which will use this. Give me a call if you want to discuss 604-980-7143

Hmm..looks like the orchid module really is the only one I can use for this.
Thanks for your offer of developing a solution EtinenneG but I reckon I will end up paying more then for the module.

I think the problem is that Accpac is a financial system and those are not really made for order and invoice forcasting.
I reckon that's coming more out of a CRM...
