I have a report that has my sales per year (group 1) and per month (group 2) for each month. I can't figure out how to make a line chart with separate a line for each of the years (same graph). Its seems so simple that I must be missing something very basic. Thanks Gary Regez

Sales by Month by Year Line Chart

Try creating your chart and dumping it into your report header. Assuming you choose the correct grouping information in your chart this will give you the yearly data you are looking for.

Thats just the problem, I can't figure out how to define the chart (or maybe my report). I keep getting one long line for both years. I don't know how to split it into two lines showing the comparison for each month. Make any sense??? gary
