Hi,
When we upgraded accpac 5.6 to 6.2 on a windows server 2008 R2 as a local install only the person that installed the application could launch the application. All the other users would try and it would crash.

We installed it as local administrator and changing it to install mode on the box and didn't change any permissions from before. We ran regacc as administrator.
We did find the solution for our problem was to delete all the users local windows profile.

Is there something else we can do besides deleting all the users local windows profile? We are going to be upgrading around the globe and it would be great if we didn't have to delete the windows profile for each user.
Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

You have to activate Terminal Services before installing Applications.

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response.
This was not a new server. This was already activated as a TS before the upgrade. Any other suggestions? They confirmed my account was part of the local admins group.

Make sure Accpac is NOT installed at the default folder C:\Program Files (x86)\, put it in it's own folder.

Hi,
Yes its in a different location. C:\sageaccpac

Hi,
Below is the error. When a user tried to launch Accpac.exe it would come up as an application crash. We found that deleting the local users windows profile solved it. Just looking for any suggestions going forward when installing Accpac 6.2 to not have to delete the users profile.

Faulting application name: accpac.exe, version: 6.2.0.4, time stamp: 0x566e587d
