Hey guys,
I have a wierd situation. I have not installed any new software or hardware. But recently when attempting to remove my usb drive through the safely remove hardware icon on the bottom left i get a blue screen.
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP 0X0000000,0X0000002,0X0000001,0X804DC11D
I have no idea what is happening. If i turn of the hard drive by clicking the power everything is ok. It only happens when clicking the bottom left icon. Guys have any ideas?
Thank you,
Nuno
PS. I tryed different usb ports to see if the issue was due to the port but still the same issue. Any ideas guys?
THANK YOU
I am running windows xp pro

Go into device manager, click view & choose 'resource by type'

Then expand IRQ and check the numbers next to ISA & PCI, if any two numbers are the same for different devices its most likely you have an IRQ conflict. have a read up on google on how to fix this, but the first step is to identify if you have a conflict in the first place

Good luck

That error is usually due to a bad driver or failing hardware or blocking software (antivirus).

see:
Possible Resolutions to STOP 0x0A, 0x01E, and 0x50 Errors

Troubleshooting a Stop 0x0000000A error in Windows XP

also:

I would run from the CLI (Command Line Interface):

chkdsk /f C: (this checks the integrity of the c: drive)
sfc /scannow (this will ensure that system files are not corrupt, have your XP cd handy)

I actually thought it could have been my anti virus but that wasnt it. I will try what you said badbigben
Thanks guys

i got this same error too (blue screen-IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) 2 months ago, i called ASUS for motherboard help, they told me it could be memory problem, i changed it, but again i got problem then they said may be its vedio card, then DVD writer then powersupply, i mean every time when i replace any hardware i was getting same error, i sent 3 times motherboard back to ASUS and all the time they said its working fine.

Then i decided to check the CPU, i installed my CPU on an other new MB, and it gave me same error, and when i checked new cpu with new MB it works fine. then i called Intel, CPU was under warranty, so they are going to replace with new cpu. The bottom line i was getting same error you mentioned here, i checked and replace every thing but problem was in cpu.

After a long weekend found that the cause of my issue was due to sound card. I replaced the sound card and i am fine now. Roseusa sorry to hear about your issue. What i did to find the issue was disable hardware from the add and remove hardware screen. And rebooted. It took a long time.
Thanks guys for the help

NCOELHO, glad you found the culprit, and for posting what the cause was...
