Hi people,

System is BC11, SP12, application system is standard.
Multi LIM system, one remote LIM is down. Remote LIM has two magazines.
When you turn on the power, LOG display counts and stops in
3230. Loading does not start.
We changed all the hardware without success. It must be a software problem...
I do not want to shut the system down, I suppose that there is SACOS to solve this....

Thank you in advance

The Curious

LIM 1 thinks that the remote lim is already loaded.
Don't have Plexview at the moment. maybe patcher/fcpli can respond??

LALRL:LIM=1; will work (but I understand you don't want to do this...)

Never underestimate tha powah of tha google!

Check DSU board in magazine 2 in the remote lim.

Replace it and ore check cabeling between LSU and DSU

i have had this and as daddy says reload lim 1 will fix the problem. while you wait for the SACOS instructions, you can have fixed the problem this way?

mpe- from what is said, lim only has mag 0&1, no mag 2 to check. this is software problem.

Hi Guys,

I convinced the customer that reload of LIM1 is absolutely necessary, and I did the reload. 10 minutes later we had remote LIM in service.
Whosrdaddy, Mpe, parnum, thanks a lot for cooperation.

I learned from this case that Alex documentation is not the best when it comes to describing LPU display states. 32xx is described as " DSU board in magazine 2 is not connected"....3200,3210,3220,3230,3290 are not mentioned at all...

Best regards,

The Curious

3230 means it is looking for DSU in mag 3. so you can see software is messed up as it thinks it has found mag 2, which is not there either. This is why reload was required.

Tnx,

Is there some document that describes LPU display states with more details than ALEX does?

I am just curious...

This once happend to me. That time LIM 1 was hanging in periodic dump. If DUBDP; gives you the answer CONGESTION and FIOFP:NODE=SYSN; shows no open files that might be the case.

Try RFPUI:LIM=1,UNIT=BUP;

The LPU display codes section in Alex has 2 parts.
The first part details the codes from 10 - 116.
The second part details the codes 5xx - 90aa.

If you combine the information from both parts you get what you are looking for.

From the section detailing codes from 5xx - 90aa you get 32xx - no connection with DSU in Mag 2.

From the section detailing codes from 10 - 116 you get
30 - Action described in Code 20 has been completed successfully. etc...

Put these together and you get 3230.

eriuser,

Thanks a lot !
Yes, you are right, when you read Alex with patience it is clearly stated that:

"The meaning of the two arbitrary (subcode) digits (xx) can be obtained from the display codes with 2 digits"

Best regards,

The Curious
