So I'm having a little trouble here. I am using FileZILLA on our Telecom server to try and host an FTP service for the AVAYA S87xx servers to upload an FTP backup, but it fails, the error I get from the S87xx is:

backup: Performing save translation, please wait.....
backup: 40: FTP Error: Filename invalid
backup: 40: FTP of backup image to AVAYA at 10.150.31.4 failed -- Backup terminated for xln
Performing ERROR RECOVERY, please wait.....
..... ERROR RECOVERY COMPLETE .....

On the FileZILLA FTP side I see this:

000006) 9/25/2009 11:40:27 AM - (not logged in) (10.150.29.30)> user AVAYA
(000006) 9/25/2009 11:40:27 AM - (not logged in) (10.150.29.30)> 331 Password required for avaya

(000006) 9/25/2009 11:40:27 AM - avaya (10.150.29.30)> 550 Filename invalid

(000006) 9/25/2009 11:40:27 AM - avaya (10.150.29.30)> disconnected.

Now...I understand its giving me "Invalid Filename" but why? The AVAYA user has absolute permissions to C:\FTP-root on the recipient machine, the AVAYA server asks for four things:

Username
Password
Host
Directory <-- I suspect the problems here, but I'm not sure. The errors above more make me think that it can't find the XLN file to export, or so it seems.

Does anyone have any input?

I had the same problem. Make sure your directory exists under ftproot, and that the way you have it in the Avaya matches how it is under ftproot - it is case sensitive. Drove me crazy figuring that one out....

Ahh...right, Linux backbone = case sensitivity. Let me give it a shot, thanks for the reminder D.
