Hi,

Does a Mapd board work with a S8700?

I know that with CM3.0 the Tsapi event comes though AES, but I am thinking in an upgrade from my Definity R10 to S8700 Media Server, and I would like to know if I can still work with my traditional Mapd board with the S8700 (even when the recommeded is AES).

Thanks all.

alberton,

yes, map-d board is supported in cm3.

I was advised to use co-resident DLG with CM 2.2 +, as the map d board is no longer made...or supported in newer versions. I tried to get one during a CM 2.2 install last year and had to use co-resident DLG (via C-LAN card - same exact function). I have a map d installed in a s8700 1.3...works great.

I could have been advised incorrectly...

Thanks,

Wildcard

Just wondering what Mapd board use for? because we had Mapd board and right now it is unplug, I don't know what is the impact to the system, but right now no user complaint anything yet

wildcard100001,

map-d board is still supported and can be used, however it's no longer sold and eventually will go out-of-support. but this doesn't mean it shouldn't work.

id97073347,

map-d board was (and still is) used as cti gateway between system processor and lan-based applications.
if you have a working map-d board and don't use it, hold it for an year or two, there will be noticeable demand on the market. :)

The MAPD will function but may not be suitable for your particular CTI application. For instance, on CM3.x Witness Contact Store 7.3 with AES is a requirement. MAPD functionality will not work. Also, you may want to verify with each CTI vendor what they will or won't support. We have spent many, many, many hours over the last 6 months working though CTI compatibility questions.

But if I plug a Mapd in a Media Server with version 3.1 it will works?
What I had to be enabled in the customer-options screen? I say that because I had listened that ASAI features/licences disappears in the last version.

Thanks
