Hi,
Lately we have had a problem with our serverA failing over to serverB in the middle of our production day.
Has anyone else experienced this and do you know of reasons why this would happen?
Also would or is it suppose to fail back to serverA automatically?

This is our first IP connect setup with a remote site not even a half mile away.

I guess I'm looking for LAN/WAN issues to look into??
Also when the serverB takes over what does that mean to the IPSIs and PNs? Do they need to "re-register" or something and if so what impact to the user community?

Thanks in advance!

is your server set on 100mg full and is the switch port the same ?

Hi,
I would check the status of the ISPI for Server A.If not the IPSI then test your servers.

I had this problem where it ended up being a faulty server. I had Avaya suggesting that it was an issue with the link between both servers. I ended up having to physically position both servers on the sam LAN switch to prove that it was a faulty server.

Or make server B your active server and leave it for a couple of weeks for test purposes. If it remains active then intgerchange servers. If server A does not remain active then its an issue with server A.

Good luck

Rod
