After I did the upgrade to the S8700 Platform, and installed two ISP's on S8300/G700, I was told to check Avaya's website for new software and firmware releases for various circuit packs (e.g. C-LAN, MEDPRO, ect.) Can someone please explain to me what I am looking for, how I tell what release the existing circuits are running currently, and how I go about upgrading them if need be.

Your help is very appreciated!

If you type, "list config all" then look at the vintage field for those packs, it will tell you what firmware you have.

When you look at the website, the latest firmware usually shows up at the top. Just do a search on it. There are also instructions about how to ftp the firmware to the boards.

The medpro upgrades are QOS issues. You have to FTP the firmware to the clan and then do "cha firmware download" and you can upgrade the files to each medpro. BEWARE this upgrade is service affecting but you have an option to schedule the download on the same page

Thanks to you both! I will give it a try............
