Okay, so I had a power outage this morning and gracefully shut down one of my 8500s. Once power was restored I had the onsite tech power it back up and now I have working telephones, access through ASA and access to Linux via telnet. I can not, however, get into the Web Maintenance Interface. From Linux I am showing no alarms and statapp shows everything up. Anybody got any ideas?

maybe http didn't start. Not sure. Reboot it and see if that solves your issue.

I don't have root privileges in Linux. Does the sat command 'reset system 4' still work (since I obviously can't reboot from the maintenance interface)?

try "stop -afcn", when everything shows as "down", power it off, wait a minutes, then power it back on.

But if I don't have root privileges at the CLI I can't run the 'stop' command can I? In reading the docs I see a 'reset system 4' will reboot Communication Manager but I'm not sure that will get http running. I have a very narrow maintenance window and physical access would take a plane ride so I'll keep looking and work with what I have for now unless somebody has another suggestion.

The command "stop -rn" will reboot the S8500. Try it... It works without root access...
