did you connect the voiceports in the correct order? If you did not, the system will always answer but does not know for what extension the call was forwarded to the intuity.
What message do u get when u call and station and let it go to cover?
Does the PBX and Intuity have any alarms?

Thanks for the help. But I finally found the problem it was
with the groups. the voice port in the audix are supposed to be in group 2 only. I had them in group 1. Also My hunt group was administered wrong. On page 2 of hunt group form messaging needs to be "AUDIX" also the 2 field below that need to be "AUDIX".
