I have a S8300 in a G700 gateway (with another couple of G700's just with DS1 cards in)installed using 4620 phones, I just wanted to know how many concurrent calls I would be able to have without needing to add additional voip resources.
Also how many announcements can you have.

Think my reseller is having a blank moment

Thanks

Good question. Answer depends on codec choices and network region programming. If in a LAN environment would expect to use G.711. The G700 supports 64 uncompressed (G.711 equivalent) talk paths. This would support (2) T-1's and an Analog or digital. Also assuming shuffling is turned on.

If using compression, dsp resources have a linear declination from 64 to 32 (ie 1 compressed call used the equivalent of 2 resources). You would probably be able to support (1) DS1 and one other 8 port card.
