So working with a vendor on a migration to the cloud from on-premise Exchange to O365 Exchange utilizing the UM feature. I know this might be a long shot because so few have done this.
We are routing through a Mediant 1000 SIP. Right now all is working. But from my references I spoke with before the project that did this also, there was one issue.
There is a long delay from the time the coverage of, let's say 4 rings, until the O365 picks up on the other end and gives the voicemail greeting.
I was told a 3-4 second delay is better than what it used to be, but this delay is just dead silence for nearly 8-10 seconds. Makes you want to hang up and not wait. Making it useless.
Right now, I was told to set the change system-parameters coverage-forwarding and Coverage responde to 0 seconds. Normally it is set to phone with Modular Messaging.
I've done that, and still a long delay, no difference.
My vendor is looking into the issue, but was wondering if anybody here has done this integration and has any input. I only know of 2 others companies that have done an S8300/O365 UM integration.
Thanks
