Hi-

We've just installed an S8300 running 4.0 CM and we're trying to integrate with a very basic GFI Fax Server. It can be integrated via DTMF or DID ISDN. We've tried everything to get the DTMF integration to work, but with the mode code system parameters, since the Fax Server ONLY wants the four digits of the fax DID. It doesn't want any other mode codes only extension number. I've set the fax DID up as phantom stations with a coverage path going directly to the hunt group, which the group members are programmed as VMI's and I've stripped the Mode Code table (problem was that when I stripped the table, no digits would pass). Someone suggested to me that I should use a "converse on" step and make the fax DID be a VDN, but I can't get anything to work.

Thoughts? Thanks, in advance, for your response.

don't know how yours is setup, how the connection to the fax server and pbx is,,, but I posted my config in this thread,, thread690-1398198, we use a D1 in the PBX to connect to a Brooktrout board in our Rightfax server.
UDP/AAR routes the call to the server..
don't know if it helps or not,, but I hope it does..
