We recently had a customer whos remote site with S8300/G430 LSP went into LSP mode due to network issues. When the network was restored the G430 and handsets re registered to the core CM but all the handsets are unable to get voip resource from the G430.

If we revert the site into LSP mode all the phones register correctly to the LSP and work perfectly with the same G430.

It sounds like there is a network issue between the phone and the G430 but why would it be different when in/out of LSP mode?

Any ideas?

Are you sure this persisted for more than 3 minutes after the network converged? What do your recovery rules look like? "Immediate" and after 3 minutes of network stability? These types of things could cause the gateway to be a in "pending" state back on the main server for a while - though it would always be a minimum of 3 minutes.

What exactly do you mean when you say those phones can't get DSPs off the G430? As in, you've got trunks on that gateway and the phones can't access them but the core CM shows that those sets and trunks are in service when you have the problem?

What releases of phone/gateway/CM?

But most importantly, read that doc posted above! It explains the config considerations very well.
