S8300/G350 FTP backup fails

Thi is what I get on the backup history, any help will be appreciated


backup: 10: Fatal error received from pre_backup routine for full; see log file
backup: 10: pre_backup for full failed -- Backup terminated for full
Performing ERROR RECOVERY, please wait.....
Can't locate object method "quit" via package "ftp" (perhaps you forgot to load "ftp"?) at /opt/ecs/sbin/backup line 3388.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I'm getting this on a S8300/G700 3.1.2.

Anyone find out the problem or come up with a solution?

The funny thing is we can run a backup and get good data if we do not check the "Full Backup" box. Once we run the backup and then try a "Full Backup" we get the same failure as above.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue with CM 3.1.2, looks like a permissions issue. Oddly we can FTP backup to the loopback address 127.0.0.1.

Are you trying to do a backup to the media server itself? Try pointing it to the "./pub" directory and see if it works out. I encountered that similar error message before prior to specifying the "./pub" directory.

Did anyone find the answer to this? I just upgraded an s8300 from 1.3 to 3.1.2, it was backing up just fine, so I'm assuming my FTP server is ok. Now I'm getting this message.
