S8300 and voicemail

I have recently started with a company and they have an S8300. I have had enquiries from users to see whether they can have voicemail turned on. I believe that the S8300 has voicemail in built - Is there an easy way to tell if it is licenced and switched on. I notice that the current maintainer does not have an AUDIX hunt group programmed on the CM.

On the maintenance webpage you should have a link to the internal Voice mail system. If you don't have that link, you don't have the IA770 installed and also not licensed.

if you dont have the ia770 installed get 2 quotes 1 for the ia770 the other for an intuity LX the ia770 is built into the processor of the 8300 thus you cant do any replacements without shutting the switch down the LX is much more stable

I don't know as I'd say the LX is more stable, when properly patched.

I've deployed probably close to 30 of them over the past year and had few issues once they were properly patched.

That said, I've had similar performance with the LX.

Either way, both systems seem to fit the bill. It mainly depends on number of subscribers and whether they will use FAXPOP or not....
