I was told that I should post it here, so here I am

Hi guys,
Remember I post about unsuccessful installation
of S3 drivers on w2k severs? Something new come
up now. I tried to install w2k server onto a
different hdd but same machine that I have w2k
prof. on. I use the old driver for NT4 from
Viewtop and the installation was fine. It did
work (at least for a while and I messed it up
with the vitural memory swap file ?? I don't know
if it is or not for the version I had is not
English and I could hardly interpret the error
into English) The drivers for winNT from
Viewtop, should, as far as I can see, work for
W2Ks. But now why is that it is still giving
blue screen in W2K server. I boot the server
in VGA mode and change the driver to Viewtop's
winNT4 drivers. Do I have to dele the W2K server
part. and redo everything (least thing I would
do) before it will work? Sounds a little bit
frustating.

Also about the W2K pro. problem : it tells me
to change the file size under the 'My computer'
'Property' bra bra bra.... But I cannot even
see the destop, Any way to change the file
size (probably the swap file size) without
seeing the destop. The error never let me
go as far as the desktop/

Any time that you cannot see the desktop, try this: press the ctrl-alt-del keys and select "Task Manager," then "New Task," and when the pop-up window shows, type Control Panel and hit the enter key. This will bring up the control panel. Double-click on the "Display Icon" (you will probably have to click on the "X" on the top right of the control panel then to get rid of the control panel so that you can see what you brought up). At that point you should be able to change your display driver back to the generic driver so that you can see the desktop or to do other things that are appropriate for your problem. The reason that I mention the Display Adapter, is that if you mess up your display driver you may not be able to see the desktop. Good luck!

Sorry, I think I have to elaborate a little further
my problem :

About the w2k server :
The server was installed with the wrong driver (which comes
/w the adaptor as winNT4 driver, so I tried to search the
sites for a w2k driver) I DL some drivers from the sites but
they are of no good. Finally I set up a w2k prof. and use
the winNT4 driver which I originally had and it works out.
So I tried installing the driver into the w2k server but it
did not work!!! O.K. on prof. but not server, sounds really
great. All it does is as soon as the desktop icons comes up,
the blue screen appears and stay just for about 1/2 of a sec.
and then the machine reboots. If I run the server under VGA
mode, it will work. So my conclusion will be the driver kills
the server but working on prof. version and not server version
would surely be some short of nonesense, right?

About the w2k prof. :
I install the driver that comes with the card (winNT4 driver as
told by the manufacturer). Everything seems fine. But I was
fooling around this hdd with something like the boot manager,
and somewhere in time I reboot it, it only give me an error
message of too small file size of some short and bra bra ....
It is probably the swap file size (I cannot quote the exact
wording for the prof.version I have is not in English, but
it seems to be something concerning with the virtual memory
so it must be the swap file ) All the computer can do is
give me the login screen and as soon as I keep in the password
it gives me the error message and after reading the message and
press O.K. it loops back to 'Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to key in password'
without ever getting to the desktop. If I do what you said 'Ctrl-
Alt-Del' it will just loop back to the login password screen.

Any idea how to get around this?
