As for sites... Too many out there these days. You can catch many links to sites in this forum in individual threads, or just use a search engine and search for Flash sites!

The only software required is Macromedia Flash V5 or it's predecessor Macromedia Flash V4, available for trial download at
It includes it's own publishing facility so there is no need for you to have any prior HTML or web-publishing knowledge.
It also doesn't require any hosting software on your server, if a user enters a page and doesn't have the Flash plug-in necessary to view the page, this is automatically detected by the HTML coding created when you publish you're creation.
