When I set my card to display on the TV with s-video out the picture comes discolored and with small wavy lines on them. hard to drescribe but the picture looks really bad.

This didn't happen before I formatted and reinstalled everything on my drive.

I thought it would be a driver issue but I tried three different versions form nvidia and they all ahve the same result.

I had this happen with my other 4800 but when I sent it to TV through a regular video cable the picture was normal.

Make sure that the S-video cable is securely and correctly connected.

If ok, then try a different known working S-video cable.

If no luck, then check if you're using the same video driver as before the system was reformatted.
Also, uninstall all old video software from Add/Remove Programs before installing new drivers.

If nothing fixes it, then see if a standard video cable works.

it might be interference from other devices like speakers. try to relocate other devices that are near your tv, it might clear up those wavy lines that you see.
