I have a problem. I am using Internet Explorer 6.0

When I go to a certain website I get the following error message:

"A runtime error has occured. Would you like to Debug it now?

Line : 0
Error : Invalid Character

Can someone please tell me what this means or how can I fix this?

Thanks in advance.

It means there's an error in a script on the website. If the webmaster's conscious, they'll fix it sometime soon.

The future is already here - it's just not widely distributed yet...

It is usually an error on the page.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

If you have not upgrade of WSH 5.6 it would be a good idea as well:

Thanks guys I will try out bcastner's solution today and see if that makes a difference.

bcastner,

Using your suggestion I dont get the annoying pop up any more.

Thanks

That issue started occurring for me a month or so ago as well (...unsure why). That fix worked for me too, thanks bcastner.

A litle checking with adware/spyware/malware tools would be a good idea as well if the problem appears "out of the blue." See faq608-4650
