Runtime Error 1

Please forgive me if I have posted this message in the incorrect forum, I am a 71year old, desperately trying to keep up with this digital age.
When I open Ulead Video Studio 9, I nearly always get a brief, maybe for about 3 seconds, error message, which, as far as I can remember states. "Runtime Microsoft Visual C++ Error". The message ends and I get a blue bar, which looks as if Ulead Video Studio is loading, for about 4 or 5 seconds. It then closes. If I then try to open Ulead Video Studio it always opens and runs perfectly.
I am concerned that it may be syptomatic of a deeper problem and your help or advice would be welcome.

Thank you Steve for your reply, and for letting me know I was in the wrong forum.
I am getting the 'run around' here, Ulead have told me that it is a Microsoft Visual C++ error.
Thanks anyway for your help. I will look elsewhere.

it seeems to be a common problem with IE and search bars being installed .. maybe something here will jog your memory ...
