I have a problem opening up visual basic in access. When I try to open visual basic I get the following error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information.

Has anybody encountered this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks.

Hi,

I have had the same problem, but solved it. My printer driver was causing the problem. I think there is a bug in the Visual Basic Editor which cannot handle some printer attributes.

I tried using another printer as the default printer. This worked for me. You could create a dummy printer which redirects to a file as default printer as a workaround.

Hope that helps,
Florian
