Keep getting an error on the pc side saying the userid is valid. Anyone out there know how to configure the Remote Command Security?

Just a correction to my post. I'm getting error message CWBAR1009 Required userid is either missing or invalid. On the RunRmtCmd, I've tried passing both my AS/400 userid and my Windows userid, both time I get the CWBAR1009 error. Anyone out there have a clue as to what I'm doing wrong?? Thanx.

Check the services running on the PC. It could be that the Client Access Express Remote Command is not started.

I'm starting cwbrxd from the command prompt.
I'm running Windows XP, CAE V5R1, OS/400 V5R1.

You've probably already done this, but have you checked the username and password that you are passing to make sure that they are in single quotes and match the case on the pc side?

Yes, they are. Could the problem be I'm running CAE V5R1 on a Windows XP pc? I went thru administrative tool, Services and attempted to start the Client Access Express Remote Command and it keeps timing out when the status bar get about halfway there. Any ideas?

When I try to start the iSeries Access for Windows Remote Command service under Services, I keep getting Error 1053. Anybody know what's causing it or how to get around the error.

I'm not familiar with XP yet. Hope to have it installed at work in a few months. I would check to make sure that you have the latest service packs for that os. Do you have to be logged in as administrator for the pc to start the service?

I'm getting Windows error 1053. When I check on what that error is, it mentions that a .dll file is missing or is corrupt. Not sure where to go from here.
