Hello, I apologize in advance because I'm a newbie, but here's my question. I have items at branch plants that are issued by date. I want the last issued date to show up as a line item with only the last issued date. I created a group to do this. When I total items for a branch plant all the dates amounts are included not just the last issued date. Ex:

Plant item lastissueddate QuantityonHand
1 1 10/25/02 8
1 1 10/26/02 4
2 1 10/23/02 9

Even though for Plant 1 I can display only line 10/26/02 when I total for this plant I would get 12 instead of 4.
Thanks for any help

Hi there,

I don't know if I'm on the right track, but have you tried creating a formula which contains the Sum(fld, condFld) method? Where fld is what you are trying to add up, and condFld will be the group name.

Let me know if this helps

Sort your report so that the record you desire is at the top of the group, then drag the fields in question to the group header, and hide the detail lines.

If you want to grand total the latest receipts it will be a bit tougher, you will need to use running totals. Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
