Is there a way to use a running total using a formula WITHOUT have a grouping? When I place the reset in the report header it incorporates the records I am suppressing. Is there a way around that?

I actually use a formula on the running totals screen to tell when to reset the total. Works pretty slick. In my situation I have a WHOLE company total and two area totals in the same band. The formula tells when to evaluate the total and when to zero it. Is this what you are looking for?

What does your formula say? I've added a company total but my running formula total is still incorporating suppress data.

oh, I figured it out!!!

I made a formula to set any qty that fit the suppress criteria to 0, else give the qty. The I used the "running total using a formula" on that new formula. Even though it was incorporating the suppressed records, they were all set to 0, and I was able to get my grand total without a group.

Thanks for your help.
