There is no conflict if that is what you are worried about - just remember to resource your machine appropriately - SQL can be very resource intensive.
Alright, it would actually be our database server, and backups. we're kind of reconfiguring our layout so i'm deciding what to put where, but at this point it looks like it would have at least a gig if not more of ram, dual 866's. Any guesstimates?
Not being rude - but it's a how long is a piece of string question and depends on many factors. As with any database, don't forget to adequately plan and resource your disk subsystem.
