I have a qbasic program that I'd like to schedule to run daily. The problem I'm having is, if the window that the program begins executing in isn't on top (the active window), the program seems to hang or slow down considerably. By leaving this window on top, I can't use my computer for anything else while the program is running. Is there a way to get around this? I'm running windoes ME.
thanks

I'd suggest you go with PowerBasic console compiler and use
an authentic 32 bit program. Most of the code will come over
without change if it's not graphics.
