Is there any way you can get NC running in its 18 file standard DOS character mode?
If I have it load into a full window I get 42 files displayed in a small font.
If I have it start up in a "window" and then press Alt-Enter I get what I want -- an 18 file display in the program with a more readable font.
What I would like to know is if there's some way to set Properties in this app to go directly to the second 18 file format without having to load NC into a small window and then expanding it full screen with Alt-Enter.

Have you tried to start it up in the window, and then set the properties of the window to Full Screen mode and then save it so that the properties are saved to the shortcut that started it? Just in case, right-click the title bar for the window and select properties.
