Hi All,

Current our production system is running some maps through a script from command server but some time we face unusual condition when both command server & launcher runs at a time & dstx launcher goes into hang state.

Inorder to avoid this we want to move from command server to launcher.

CONCERN:- main problem is if we run the maps through launcher & out data is too big without completly writting the first output launcher will pic another map and start running the map which will throw error.

Kindly advice how to over this problem ASAP.

Thanks for any help or suggestion

Regards,
Vijay

Thanks OllyC for your reply.

but will rollback will allow the launcher to write the output of 1 map completly how big the o/p might be without launcher starting to process the next map?

Is there any other way available?

Thanks,
Vijay

DSTX writes the file to a temporary file then renames it when complete so you won't get a partial file. The onlt time this is an issue is for ftp.
You can avoid any issues by writing a dummy file at the end of processing and use this as a trigger to the next process.
