Running Jobs in the Background in Parallel

We are having a problem trying to run jobs submitted by a user in parallel. We modified the setting for job_queue_processes to a higher level but the jobs still run sequentially.

DOes anyone have any suggestions??

Are they both scheduled to the same time? Do you really have specified number of processes or just changed a parameter? What is your job_queue_interval parameter?

We have the problem solved. The Background jobs were running but there was a contention error between the jobs. Reworked procedures to eliminate the contention and it is working well
