Hi
Brand new user coming from Quark...
Have created a running head on a master page and can't seem to change/edit it in the actual document. Any suggestions?

Also, have added a coloured background on one of the pages in the document and can't seem to send it behind the running head text (the same one created on the master)

Thanks for your help...

In the page palette, in the drop down menu, you can select "Override all Master Page Items". Another solution is to create a new Master Page without your header on it. Then in the Page Palette drop down, you can apply the new master page to the pages you don't want the header to appear.
For your other issue, in the original Master, put the header on a new layer above the layer where your color bkgd is. (Layers Palette)
Hope it helps

If you are on the Mac, you can click on the item on the document page whilt holding apple & shift. This only removes the 'link' of the selected item from the master.
