All our users are set as Power Users and I need to run Disk Defragmenter on their PC's under their user ids. Anyone know what the executable is for the defrag program? Trying to find it so I can run the program as a system user when people login to the network.

Could not find the .exe but you can run the dfrg.msc and get the same results. It's not a problem...It's just a Blood Pressure Monitor

Getting to the msc still doesn't help. Windows still asks for admin rights to execute the defrag program. Thanks for help.

Does the user have permission to access the file? via security of the folder / file?

Thanks,

Luke

Corporate has set the policies not to give users admin rights to anything but there own folders/files. We are trying to convince them this is a bad idea. :(

Can you not run the task under the Scheduler and assign an admin account. Hewissa
