I'm using Control Center and make a backup schedule. I have a problem about backup schedule can not be done. I don't know what is the root cause of this problem.

Here are the weird things that I get about the database.
1. Checking from Journal, Running jobs push button, I see Backup jobs running in the list and they are not removed in the list for a long time.

2. Checking in the DB2 Diagnostic Log (db2diag.log) It has the error about...

Here is the current server configuration
1. Windows2000 Server
2. DB2 Version 6
3. Using Table Space managed by System (SMS)
4. Database size when backup is about 300 MB ( text only without BLOB)

Sorry for the quite long content, I 'm not sure what is the real problem on this database. So, i'm asking for help on this. Thank you so much ...

Boon.

Run a db2dart on your database to check for invalid pages.

E119 is equivalent to SQL state -1034: page checksum error. your database might be corrupt.

Anyway, change to a supported Version of DB2 (version 8), even V7 is running out of support end of this month.

And I hope you have a valid backup for your database at hand. Otherwise you can try an unsupported repair - no garanty on data consistency afterwards - using db2dart as well.

Thanks juliane26,
I did more investigation on the problem and found that there was process ID in the Running List of Journal that some showed process ID = 0 ( might be Idle process on Windows). I have tried to restart/shutdow windows, but it still appear then. I have two questions.
1. How can I remove the Items in the Running List?
2. I have a valid backup of this database, but It's not updated. How can I do backup or export the data to another file ?

I have done using db2dart MYDB /DB . The result is

I never used the control center or journal for job management.
I prefer a
>>db2 list application
and
>>db2 force application all | appid
that should do the job.
If a
>>db2stop force
does not work, try
>>db2kill

Worst case scenario: first try to shut down all services related to DB2 and then - if there are still processes left - kill them in the task manager
(in unix/linux a
>>ps -ef | grep db2
followed by
>>kill -9 db2procname
would do the job)
