Hi everyone,

I need to run an SQL script locally on the Gupta SQLBase server. What tools may I use to run this SQL Script?

In MS SQL Server 2000, there is SQL Query Analyzer, what is Gupta SQLBase's equivalent?

As well, what kind of configuration must be made to the sql.ini file in order to run this tool?

Did you try SQLTalk ?? Just point the Sql.ini file to where the .dbs file exists. Also give the path for Log files in sql.ini file. Le me know if this helps....

Thank-you for the info.

I am trying to read a table (approx. 2.8 million) records with 10 columns of data. (i.e. Simple SELECT statement of the ten columns) We ran it through SQLTalk and it took 6+ hours and it was still running. Would you know why it takes so long?

Does your statement include a "where" clause too ?? or is it a simple "select * from <tablename>" ??
