HI,

is there any way i could run some code (not a macro) when ever a user opens an access file
Thanks

Joe

You can choose a start-up form from Start-Up Options and add code to the Open event. The form does not have to be visible.

but i have already a startup form, and i think i could only do one form at start up.

but then there is another solution, to do an AutoExec Macro, which is the same idea...

i just thought that its possible to do just like in excel.

Thanks

Joe

You said "not a macro" ! :)

If you want a macro to run code, you can also use command line switch /x.

You can call the second start-up form from the first. I use a form that checks everything and then either calls the standard menu or another form.

That's an interesting idea, to call the second form from the first.

i oughta do that.

thanks Remou,
