Run-Time error '5922' on Access to Word mail merge

I installed Office 2000 SP2 & Outlook Security Update SR, now when doing mail merge opening the word doc, first error says ; "Word cannot find its data source". If I go into options and Remove Header info, it continues as it should, then click OK to automatically merge the doc and get the run time error.
If I open the database in Access (it opens fine) then try to open the table it says; Cannot Update. Database or Object is read only.
Any suggestions on a fix would be much appreciated.

Have just realised that it was the Office 2000 SP1 that has caused this prob in the first place. Again, any help for a fix would be great.
