yes it can, I run it quite well, but you need to modify your collection queries to reflect NT 5.1 as your OS.

hope this helps,

Jon. Jon. :)

Cheers DomainMaster
Can you tell me how to modify my collection queries to see NT 5.1? I know I'm close to getting this but I'm still doing something wrong e.g. criteria

look at your existing collections, check the properties of your winXP workstation in SMS, the described operating system will (or should) show windows nt version 5.1

then I modified my existing nt 3.51 workstations collection query to show 5.1 instead of 3.51, renamed the collection then, hey presto !

although all your systems will appear in "all workstations" they should now have their own query....

MS do have a patch for XP collections, somewhere (Q308271)

hope this helps you...

DomainMaster, thanks for the input but I've already tried this and had no luck.

Although the XP workstation appears in the sms servers Network Neighborhood when I run the Collection "All systems" the XP workstation doesn’t appear. This is really irritating so any help is appreciated.

I'm running sms 2 sp3
