Hi,

I'm new to Domino server (ver 5.0.12) How can I configure the server start domino server automatically after rebooted the server?

Appreciate if anyone can provide me details steps.

May I know what is the diff between NServer and NService?

Thanks in advance.

Reg,

Running the Domino Server as a service is an option that is selected when you install the server. I don't know of any way of implementing this after it's installed. Re-installing will make it happen for you if you select the option.

One advantage of running as a service is that if your server roboots (ie power failure) and you are not there to log in the server service will start in the background.

Hope this helps

Hi, you may set it at system services. Look for Lotus domino service and change the setting to automatic start. It will work.

btw. need a favour that any idea how to configure Windows 2000 Server automatic logon after reboot? Pls help.

Thanks.

I HAVE SOMEWHAT A SOLUTION THAT I HAVE TESTED ON RELEASE 6.5 DESPITE IT CAN AUTOMATICALLY START IT FOR YOU.

I HAVE USED A BATCH FILE WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMAND/

NSERVER -JC

I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS ON R5.IF YES, YOU CAN ADDED THIS BATCH FILE TO THE TASK SCHEDULER AND IT WILL BE RUN DURING STARTUP
