I have Backup Exec 8.06 running on a XP machine with a HP Surestore dat40 drive (currently....see my other post today). Trying to get a backup of my system. I will set up a backup job and say "run now" and it schedules for the current time and date instead and does absolutely nothing. The software is reading the correct tape, so I know it sees the tape. I was successfully using this drive up until a week ago when I switched in my replacement tape drive (DLT VS80i) of which I'm getting application errors when I run that backup....again, see other post. If I right-click on the "scheduled" job and say "run now", it just adds another SCHEDULED job to the queue. Help!
