Hi,

i have a VB program which i would like to run on a unix platform

does anybody have any idea how to do this?

KraVen,

I can't help but ask "Why would you want to do that!?"

I don't fancy your chances, but an option to investigate would be using an emulator such as WINE which is available for Linux and *may* compile under SCO.

thanks for your reply

why?

i have a VB program and a client has a unix platform

i do not want to (let it) rewrite
to expensive, to much time

I don't know VB extensively, but have done some sco programming. In sco, i don't see any possibility for you to port VB or run it in an sysemu with good reliability.
is this a DB?

the db is an excisting db
the program selects part of the db and sends it thru the com port to a device

so basicly the only thing the program does is converting data en sending it to the comport
