Ruler Missing in Word 2000

One morning I brought up Word 2000 and I noticed that the horizontal ruler, the one that sets the margins and tabs, hadn't appeared. (The vertical ruler also disappeared, but I've never used that so it doesn't bother me.) I can get the horizontal ruler to appear if I very carefully move my cursor to the border between the page and toolbar (where it should normally be) and it seems to float onto the screen, only to disappear when I move the cursor somewhere else. I am in int the "Print Layout" view.

Anyone know what's going on?

Go to the Menu Bar -> select "View" - > click on the "Ruler" option. Also make sure that under the same "View Menu" you select the "Print Layout" option.
