RTU fo Intuity LX

I'm trying to find out if the LX needs RTU's purchaced when you need to add more ports. I get two answers: one says yes the other no. I can't see Avaya giving up anything for free. Anyone know for sure? Thanks In Advance.

from what i know, ports and number of mailbox that you can administer are two different things. if you want more users to be able to access audix, then you need more ports. if you want to be able to administer more audix users in the system, then thats another thing.

Avaya website says
"Standard Configuration
The standard configuration includes one analog-interface card with four ports enabled. The maximum supported configuration is three analog-line interface cards with 12 ports enabled"

The 'enabled' word indicates to me that you have to pay for it.
I tried to find something that was more definitive, but the Avaya site kept timing out.

I added more ports in an Intuity LX recently and I had to have Avaya activate those so I guess it is an RTU required.

Thanks folks, I didn't think Avaya would do something for nothing.

It seems to me that they were giving the total hours of speech on the hard drive for the basic price though. Rather than a minimun and then charging for any additional amounts.
