RTF to text

Hello everybody.

I have this application in which I use RTF control for data entry.
Today I wanted to output my data to a text file to use with other application but the text was not correct.
So is there a way to output the formatted text to a plain text.

Hi!

Check the GetText function of the RTFTextBoxObject in the help.

I went thru the help and tried some examples but the result was the same string (still in rtf format with extra characters).

Can you please help me more

Hi,
Sorry my mistake that I didnt explain my need for this.
I have a table contains a memo field which I enter formatted text in it (as an RTF field).

Now I need to seach inside that table for some info from that field.

Before, my entry was text so it was running fine but after moving to RTF I get only the result of unformated part.

Hi!

Create a dummy hidden window with a RTF Text Control or a hidden RTF Text Control in your existing window, assign the memo column to it, use the GetText function and search for your string.
