rs6000 processor speed 2

all my questions are simple but i cant answer them!!!! how do i extract the processor speed for a proc in aix 4.3.3 for a rs6000 server. cheers Ian M
 
depends you can try lsattr -El procX if that fails you will need to lookup model info on IBM site tho find proc speed. Newer AIX will show the proc speed
 
There is usefull command called "prtconf" which displays the important system information.
Unfortuntley unless you have AIX 5 installed it doesn't display the processor speed!
$ prtconf
System Model: IBM,7026-6H1
Machine Serial Number: 6xxxxxx
Processor Type: PowerPC_RS64-IV
Number Of Processors: 6
Processor Clock Speed: 669 MHz
CPU Type: 64-bit

etc etc etc
 
Get hold of a copy of cfg2html it reports on all aspects of you server
