We had a power outage last weekend and being a 8x5 operation this was not discovered until Monday morning. The UPS had kept the system going for enough time for it to shutdown everything in an orderly fashion.
Our H50 had rebooted itself OK but the 44P 270 needed the reset button to be pressed to get it to "come up".

Is there any way of gettting the 44P to operate the same as the H50, ie boot up without user intervention when the power comes back on.

Yes there is:
Go to the SMS menu, find the system power menu. There is an option called unattended startup mode, enable this.
