I have a W2K Adv. Server in a mixed mode environment. I am trying to implement the RRAS. When I configure it,( either manually or through the wizard ), it locks me out of the network. I can no longer see other computers, nor can they see me. My error log says two messages;
===========================================================
The NetBIOS gateway has been configured to access the network but there are no network adapters available. Remote clients connecting with the NBF protocol will only be able to access resources on the local machine.
AND
Unable to contact a DHCP server. The Automatic Private IP Address 169.254.143.244 will be assigned to dial-in clients. Clients may be unable to access resources on the network.
======================================================
Now, I see the problem is that the DHCP is defaulting to the 169.x.x.x, but how do I correct this. I tried to change the RRAS from using DHCP to defineing the pool of addresses, no help.
Any ideas??
TIA
