RPC Error with Netware 6.5 clib now fixed 1

Novell fixed the clib *from SP4 and SP5* about the RPC Error on Backups with bsdsock.nlm *corruped datastream*

Novell TID 10100368 refers to a version of LIBC.NLM, 9.00.03 dated Dec 20, 2005. However fix NWLIB6E.EXE includes LIBC.NLM version 9.00.03 dated Dec 15, 2005. So is there a new version dated Dec 20, 2005 or not?

Hi Novelli again,

Are you experinecing any problems with the indexes with networker for netware 7.2.

I have all your patches installed. TCP at 6.59j when I backup the client all seems ok savegroup says that all is well no RPC errors. However when I try to browse the index I don't see all the volumes that were backed up. I'll see only one of them, when in fact there were 2 volumes. When I try to do a saveset recover they are all there.


Networker server is 7.2.1.
These are all NSS volumes with novell 6.5 SP4a

Hi bombcan,

i had the same problem when i change something on the volumes after the first networker config.

Try to reboot the netware server and do the backup again, it helped at my site
