I am using CR XI.

I have inserted a crosstab in my report. I have a fake grp inside which I have inserted this crosstab.

The crosstab looks like this:
Jan Feb Mar
Amt Amt Amt
Staff A $5 $4 $6
Staff B $3 $5 $5
Staff C $3 $3 $7
Client1 $11 $12 $18
Staff A $5 $4 $6
Staff B $3 $5 $5
Staff C $3 $3 $7
Client2 $11 $12 $18

My client wants it to look differently.

Client1 Staff A $5 $4 $6
Staff B $3 $5 $5
Staff C $3 $3 $7
Total $11 $12 $18
Client2 Staff A $5 $4 $6
Staff B $3 $5 $5
Staff C $3 $3 $7
Total $11 $12 $18

I tried to play with the row indent, moved the rows, moved the grand total. This is what I could get

Jan Feb Mar
Amt Amt Amt
Client1 $11 $12 $18
Staff A $5 $4 $6
Staff B $3 $5 $5
Staff C $3 $3 $7
Client2 $11 $12 $18
Staff A $5 $4 $6
Staff B $3 $5 $5
Staff C $3 $3 $7

How do I accomplish what my client needs..?

With no row indent, and using client as your first row and staff as your second, you would get the desired display--after going to the customize style tab within the crosstab expert and checking suppress subtotals for the staff field, and unchecking both show totals on top and show totals on left.
