Hello All,

I have a small question, and I have searched up and down for the answer...

I have a Magix connected to an Asterisk PBX by a PRI line. The line seems to work fine, because I can dial inward from Asterisk to the Magix to extensions,etc. However, I can't figure out how to add the extensions on the Asterisk side to the dialplan in the Magix. I would like to use the 5xx block all sent over to the Asterisk box. Can someone please help, or point me in the direction of some documentation on this subject? Thank you!

John

Under Tables, you will find UDP. You will create a range, from 500 to 599, telling it which "route" to use. Under the routing, you will specify which pool to use, how many digits (if any) to strip, and any digits to add. Look for the Network reference on the Avaya support site.

I have been getting stumped getting a PRI between asterisk and a legend. (I think it is the particular 100D module in the legend: 517M15. Does the Magic use the 100D?) I am in the processes of caving in and setting up the T as tie lines - which work. Please shoot me an email if you have tips for getting the PRI going. jharragi@mw.k12.ny.us

I'm doing the same integration on Magix to Asterisk. I got the PRI to come up but getting a bunch of errors on the Asterisk console regarding the D-channels.

To answer the question in adding the Magix dialplan into the Asterisk: On the asterisk in /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf, you need to add a new context [magix] and include the below dialplan:

exten => _5XX,1,Dial(${TRUNK}/${EXTEN})

Make sure that all your variables are defined in [globals] context and also that the [magix] context is included in your master context for calling permissions.

example: {TRUNK} = Zap/g1
example: under [local] context, include => magix

To answer your PRI question, refer to the forum's FAQ on setting up initial PRI circuits:

I got my span to come up but still have Asterisk reporting errors. Perhaps we can work together on this. My contact # (763) 391-5440 and e-mail andy_pham@silentknight.com. Thanks.
